In the Sensor division and MicroSystem Technology Research Unit, we carry out the applied re-search in our cleanroom facility located in Villach to create the basis of ground¬breaking prototypes based on MEMS technology

Your future responsibilities

  • Responsible of the Lithography and wet etch processing equipment’s for small-scale R&D purpose
  • Development and optimization of photolithography processes (Mask less photolithography and in future E-beam lithography)
  • Development and definition of requirement on photolithography process for MEMS application on 200mm wafer size (selection of resist, definition of coating parameters, bake time, exposure optimization, develop time variables...)
  • Troubleshooting of photolithography process parameters to meet the defined requirements
  • Responsibility for wet bench equipment in the cleanroom and chemistry lab, incl. maintenance, definition of etching process, process quality control, ordering and handling of the chemicals
  • Training and assistance of cleanroom users for photolithography and wet-etching applications according to safety regulations, verification of compliance with rules/regulations
  • Responsible to prepare documentation and implement actions
  • Collaborates with other cleanroom process engineers or users to resolve maintenance issues, improve equipment reliability, review process flows, and minimize equipment downtime

Your profile

  • Ph.D. or M.S. in Chemistry or related engineering fields
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in photolithography process technologies with relevant experience in chemistry, various wet etching processes, resist coating tools, metrology, design of experiments, statistical process control, and data analysis methodologies
  • Good knowledge and practical and professional experience with the installation and maintenance of cleanroom photolithography equipment, working with wet-bench and chemicals handling
  • Experience in diverse microfabrication technology is a plus
  • Autonomous, well organized and enjoy working in a dynamic and multicultural team
  • Oral and written communication skills in German and English

  • This posi­tion is endowed with a gross annual salary of starting with € 43,820 based on the collec­tive agree­ment for re­search („Forschungs-Kollek­tiv­ver­trag“) and depen­ding on your expe­ri­ence and skills.
