Your future responsibilities

  • Initiating and conducting research projects on an international level
  • Customer and project management
  • Contributing to the research units strategic alignment
  • Guiding junior scientists and junior engineers to solve complex problems – hands-on capability in the laboratory
  • Defining and conducting research- and development-tasks for complex electronic read out circuits and novel, AI-based, signal analysis algorithms
  • Configuring and expanding the laboratories
  • Publishing and presenting the research results in scientific journals and conferences

Your profile

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in managing international projects
  • Proven record in writing successful research project proposals
  • A PhD degree in electronics, physics or information technology
  • Indepth knowledge in sensors e.g. electrical, mechanical or chemical
  • Familiar with simulation tools e.g. Matlab, Comsol, Ansys, ADS
  • Profound knowledge of programming languages e.g. Labview, C++, python
  • Expert in edge computing technologies and applications
  • Beeing a motivating team player
  • Enjoy working in international teams
  • Willing to travel on a national and international level
  • Very good abilitiy in writing scientific texts
  • Fluent in german and english language

Important Facts

  • This position is endowed with a gross annual salary of € 54,000 based on the collective agreement for research („Forschungs-Kollektivvertrag“) and depending on your experience and skills.
